Care Ministry

Kent Lutheran is a community church whose love, service and compassion empower all to lead, grow and share the love of Jesus Christ with all people.

Kent Lutheran Care Ministry is a ministry of everyday people performing acts of kindness and prayerfulness to every member of Kent Lutheran Church and the surrounding community. The KLC Care Ministry Team provides a backdrop of prayer, peace and loving-kindness to congregational life at Kent Lutheran Church. The KLC Care Ministry Team members serve through offering a loving, Christ-centered ministry of prayer, presence and home visits. KLC Care Ministry Team members also serve in the following ways:

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
  • Worship Prayer Ministry
  • Grief Follow-up Ministry
  • Daily and weekly prayers upon request
  • Mailing of cards of encouragement
  • Care notes
  • Communion Visitation
  • Hospital Visitation
  • KLC Library resources
  • Home Visitation
  • Services of Healing & Hope
  • Faith Inquiry

The KLC Care Ministry Team provides oversight of the Prayer Chapel, the KLC Prayer Garden, and the listing of prayer concerns in the Chimes Newsletter and in the Sunday Worship bulletin. Team members provide leadership for the Annual Easter Prayer Vigil and the Service of Healing and Hope. Prayer and visitation requests can be submitted during Sunday worship or through the KLC Church Office during the week.
