Our next adult class for Sunday mornings will explore a few reformers – other than Martin Luther. Each class (February 18 & 25 and March 18 & 25) will be lead by a different member of the congregation. For instance, Steve Anderson leads the discussion of Philip Melanchthon on February 18 and Clayton Anderson facilitates on February 25 talking about Bishop Lancelot Andrewes. The resource book, Prayers of the Reformers, was written in recognition of the 500th anniversary year of the Reformation. This volume collects the writing of well-known and lesser-known reformers, giving brief biographical information and several of their prayers that have been preserved through the years. Rather than looking at the theological arguments and apologetics of these religious thinkers, we instead will look to their hopes and concerns by reading their prayers. The author of the book is Thomas McPherson.

The class meets at 10:00am in the Library.
